Cadillac ATS Pricing Announced

2013 Cadillac ATS

Cadillac has announced that its new compact luxury sport sedan, the 2013 Cadillac ATS will start at $33,990 including destination fees. That price is substantially less than the current starting prices of the 2012 BMW 3 Series and 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, though it is more than the 2012 Audi A4.

The base model of the 2013 Cadillac ATS will feature a 2.5-liter engine producing an estimated 200 hp and is paired with a six-speed transmission that will get "well over" 30 highway mpg, according to Cadillac. The mid-level model, which will be priced at $35,795 including destination, will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces an estimated 270 hp and is paired with a choice of automatic or manual transmissions and either rear- or all-wheel drive. The top-of-the-line model will cost $42,090 including destination and will be powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 that GM estimates will produce 320 hp and is mated to an automatic transmission, a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive, and will include standard features such as leather eight-way power seats with memory, adaptive start and Cadillac's new CUE user interface.

Cadillac said that pricing of packages and options would be announced later. The 2013 Cadillac ATS is scheduled to go on sale this summer.
