Lexus releases full details of 2013 ES

Lexus has released the full details of its all-new 2013 Lexus ES 350. In its sixth generation, the fully-redesigned ES will now be offered in a hybrid version. The new ES 350 is powered by a 268 hp, 3.5-liter V6 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that is expected to get 21 city/ 31 highway mpg, while the 2013 Lexus ES 300h pairs a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to generate a total 200 hp and get 40 city/39 highway mpg. Both the gasoline model and the hybrid version featurena Drive Model selector, which allows drivers to choose between, Eco and Sport modes depending on the type of driving experience they want. The ES 300h also has an EV mode that allows short drives under electric-only power.
In addition to a redesigned exterior that is sleeker and slightly longer with Lexus' new spindle front grille, the 2013 Lexus ES has stiffer body, revised suspension and quicker steering gear ratio, which are all designed to provide a more responsive driving experience.
ALL ES models feature a choice of NuLuxe seating surfaces, genuine leather or semi-aniline leather, a premium sound system with eight speakers, 10 airbags, whiplash injury lessening front seats and 17-inch wheels. Optional features include a navigation system with integrated back-up camera and Lexus Enform connectivity package with a variety of mobile apps as well as a blind spot monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert , Lane Departure Alert and Pre-Collision System.
