Porsche has announced it plans to build a new Experience Center in the Los Angeles area and move the offices of its motorsports subsidiary, Porsche Motorsport North America, there from its current location in Santa Ana, California.
The Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles will feature a world-class test track and handling course with special surfaces to replicate rain, snow and ice as well as a special off-road area. The consumer-oriented facility will be available for business meetings as well as events, while a café, gift shop and track side viewing areas will appeal to families watching a loved one participate in a Porsche Experience.
Also located at the 53-acre facility will be the Porsche Human Performance Center, which will feature a sports science laboratory and training programs that incorporate the techniques used by Porsche race car drivers to prepare for racing rigors.
The new facility, located in Carson, California, near Los Angeles, is expected to open in fall 2013.
