Audi Awarded for Infotainment Innovation
The German manufacturer received the Best Global OEM Infotainment Solution Award at the 10th Annual Telematics Update Awards. The award involved their Modular Infotainment Platform (MIB), introduced on the 2012 A3.
Infotainment is increasingly becoming an area of differentiation as companies like Ford (with the Evos concept) and Audi work to meaningfully integrate not only data and entertainment access in-cabin, but also rethink how technology is used to make cars safer, more comfortable, and higher-performing in a range of conditions.
“We are honored to be recognized, especially in front of such a distinguished crowd of innovators,” said Anupam Malhotra, Manager, Connected Vehicle, Audi of America. “Audi’s radical new MIB allows independent evolution of automotive-cycle and consumer-electronics cycle multimedia systems so that we can implement the latest and greatest innovations that allow the best possible customer experience with infotainment in the vehicle.”
