Three more cars have earned the Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS): 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco, the 2012 Hyundai Azera and the 2012 Toyota Prius c.

The Chevrolet Malibu Eco is the hybrid version of the Malibu, which received a Top Safety Pick award for the 2012 model year and is also currently on the market. New for 2013, the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco does not have enough data for a valid Total Car Score.

The Hyundai Azera is a large sedan that has been fully redesigned for the 2012 model year and currently has a preliminary Total Car Score of 86.25, well above the 81.61 segment average, though data is still being collected.

The Toyota Prius c is a small hybrid that seats five in a four-door hatchback design. New for the 2012 model year, it currently does not have enough data for a valid Total Car Score.

The IIHS gives the Top Safety Pick award to vehicles that have good performance in front, side, rollover and rear impact crash tests.
